The EY Growth Platforms DevOps & Platform Architecture Director will play a critical role building the scalable, secure, and privacy-compliant architecture required to deploy intelligent agents to clients. You will define the technical backbone of a platform that ingests sensitive data, applies ML/AI pipelines, and exposes actionable insights to clients via dashboards, APIs, or real-time agents.
Your key responsibilities
· Define and implement scalable infrastructure for secure ingestion, storage, and orchestration of external data.
· Design architecture for modular, multi-agent workflows and persistent data layers (vector stores, relational DBs, object storage).
· Lead infrastructure setup across environments (CI/CD, containerization, IaC, observability).
· Ensure compliance with relevant security/privacy frameworks (SOC2, HIPAA, GDPR depending on data source).
· Architect integrations across AI pipelines, dashboards (e.g., Streamlit, PowerBI), and external API delivery systems.
· Collaborate with AI and Data Engineering leads to operationalize prototypes into high-reliability systems.
To qualify for the role, you must have
· A bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Analytics, or other related field and 5 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 3 years of related work experience.
· DevOps or cloud platform experience in data or AI-centric environments.
· Deep knowledge of CI/CD, IaC (Terraform/CDK), Kubernetes, containerization, and monitoring stacks.
· Experience building multi-tenant cloud systems with strict access controls.
· Hands-on with data privacy tooling (data masking, encryption, audit trails).
· Comfortable supporting Python-based ML workflows (API frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, etc.).
· Excellent judgment around buy-vs-build tradeoffs and third-party component integration.
· The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.
Ideally, you’ll also have
· Experience working in a startup and/or management/strategy consulting.
· Knowledge of how to leverage AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot.
· Collaborative, problem-solving, and growth-oriented mindset.
