Role and Responsibilities

  • Participate in the analysis of total rewards market surveys, ensuring integrity of submissions. Provide recommendations based on results and develop presentation materials.
  • Research and analyze total rewards trends, best practices and issues related to the business, using information to assist in the design and continuous improvement of total rewards programs aimed at improving retention, development and productivity.
  • Contribute to process design and enhancement, including extensive work with Excel spreadsheets in order to provide data related analytics.
  • Review total rewards policies to ensure continued alignment with legislation and best practices. Provide support and education to HR BPs, Managers and employees for policy application issues/queries, as required.
  • Manage all aspects of Samsung’s global job levelling framework and Workday administration of these programs.
  • Work with the HR BPs and ensure that we have a current and updated database of descriptions for roles within the organization.
  • Accountable for all health and dental benefit calculations for year-end taxable benefits as it applies to Quebec.
  • Administer and maintain benefits through provider and conduct on-boarding communication workshop to new hires.
  • Answer general employee questions and troubleshoot issues (i.e. enrollment, claims issues).
  • Collect and analyze pension and benefit data for year-end projects, audits and annual renewals.
  • Manage related systems issues, upgrades and enhancements and work towards resolution.
  • Knowledge of full cycle of financial accounting, general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, financial reporting, business performance analysis, financial budgeting, and information systems.
  • Prepare year-end reports and documentation as required by both company management and Government agencies.
  • Special projects, as assigned with a specific focus on Samsung Ads as required.

Education:

  • Relevant university or college degree (HR, Business, Administration), compensation designation (ie CCP through WorldatWork) is an asset.

Knowledge:

  • Ability to translate information needs into spreadsheet design and help create insight from information.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel with proven ability to create complex formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP's and conditional statements.
  • Strong numeric, data manipulation, spreadsheet and analytical skills.
  • Advanced computer skills with Microsoft business applications software and HRIS systems.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task regularly and work in an extremely fast-paced environment.
  • Strong planning and organization skills with the ability to execute complex process requirements.
  • Knowledge of government regulations, professional “best practices”, and industry trends as they apply to specifically to Compensation, Benefits and Pension.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills in dealing proactively with all levels of internal and external management, vendor, or agency personnel. This includes a high degree of sensitivity and change management abilities to intercultural personal and corporate dynamics.
  • Proactive, highly integrated involvement in managing priorities and competing demands.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and shifting priorities.
  • A proven ability to work well on teams and ability to work independently in a team environment.
  • Leverages technology to simplify internal processes, minimize paperwork and limit delays in processing.
  • Customer service oriented, sensitive to customer issues and understand the importance of diplomacy and confidentiality.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience working in total rewards.
