What you'll be doing:
Perform system performance tuning for S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, and SAP BTP, across SAP application servers, HANA databases, and the underlying infrastructure.
Develop andenhance observabilitycapabilities withinthe SAP landscape, focusing on actionable operational metrics and insights.
Define, monitor, and continuously improve SLIs and SLOs to ensure SAP service reliability and customer satisfaction.
Automate operational tasks, monitoring, and configuration using Python, Shell scripting, and tools like Ansible.
Collaborate with SAP Basis, infrastructure, and application teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues.
Conduct root cause analysis andlead post-incidentreviews to drive continuous improvement and prevent recurrence.
Implement andenforce policiesand procedures to ensure compliance and operational integrity.
Continuously tune SAP and database performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing best practices.
What we need to see:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
8+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or SAP Basis roles with a focus on system reliability and performance.
Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages for automation and tooling.
Good understanding and hands-on experience with Linux or other Unix operating systems.
Familiarity with CI/CD practices and deployment automation.
Strong hands-on experience with SAP systems (S/4HANA, HANA DB, NetWeaver, SAP BTP).
Deep understanding of SAP NetWeaver, transports, batch processing, and interface architecture.
Proficiency in SAP performance tuning, including HANA memory management, SQL plan analysis, and ABAP runtime optimization.
Hands-on experience in automation, configuration, and deployment on AWS, including EC2, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, and security groups.
Knowledge of DevOps practices such as Continuous Integration and Deployment.

Demonstrated operational excellence in running SAP systems in public cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Proven expertise in advanced database performance tuning, especially for HANA and other enterprise-grade platforms.
Exceptional ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex performance, architectural, and process-related issues across SAP landscapes.
Professional certifications in SAP, AWS, databases, ITIL, and/or PMP, showcasing a commitment to continuous learning and industry best practices.
Strong understanding of AI/ML tools and a demonstrated ability to apply them effectively within the scope of SAP Basis and system operations.
