Key Responsibilities

  • Oversees Lab Operations within multiple different engineering labs and buildings across multiple product platforms and chamber technologies. Includes but not limited to managing and supporting engineering CIP projects, process development work, new hardware qualification, new systems integration, tool facilities, PM maintenance scheduling and spares planning.
  • Highly Safety Focused responsibility requiring high level of diligence while mitigating, resolving and preventing repeat safety incidents both in labs and with suppliers. EHS point of contact and BU representative for lab safety meetings and updates. Drives “safety first” culture. Coordinates and ensures safety training compliance. Drives to meet or exceed BU and Corp EHS objectives which include aggressive safety incident and evacuation metrics. Represents BU during safety walks, HazMat and Conditional Use inspections. Initiates Chemical Authorization requests. Responsible for Tool Profile and Abatement forms.
  • Responsible for ensuring tool support equipment (abatement, pumps, heat exchangers etc) are spec’d correctly, purchased and delivered on time.
  • Initiates or reviews tool related MOC’s (management of change) FSRs (Facilities Service Request) and PFRs (Planning Feasibility Request) using associated data bases. Participates in all facilities design reviews (30%, 60%, 90%) and related activities that result in successful execution of MOC, PFR, FSR. Attends / participates in weekly Priority and Gap Analysis meetings with variety of attendees that includes heads of KPU’s, engineering, tool owners and others. Identifies issues that may gate project progress and defines and owns escalation path where required.
  • Works closely with facilities teams, outside contractors and tool owners when executing work driven by MOC, PFR, FSR. Mitigates issues, ensures safety compliance and drives on time completion to agreed timelines.
  • Key contributor and driver of lab initiatives with focus on Lab Efficiency OKR’s (Objectives & Key Results). These include Key Results like reduction in unplanned down time, and Operational Efficiency. Uses latest SW applications which include MyLab to track tool metrics. Member of Lab Managers Council that attends council meetings and provides input which drives BKMs and working practices aligned across the whole company.
  • Provides guidance on budgeting and estimated costs and provides updates to Operations and Finance on project progress and spending. Identifies lab assets and provides status updates to Ops and finance.
