• Applies technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope, with a focus on improving the data and systems running at scale, and ensures end to end monitoring of applications
• Resolves most nuances and determines appropriate escalation path
• Executes conventional approaches to build or break down technical problems
• Drives the daily activities supporting the standard capacity process applications
• Partners with application and infrastructure teams to identify potential capacity risks and govern remediation statuses
• Considers upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on infrastructure engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.

• Data Center Infrastructure Experience : At least 3 years of experience in delivering data center infrastructure products and services, including server, storage, and networking.

• ProjectManagement: Minimum of 2 years of experience in managing and coordinating projects and technical resources.

• Operating Systems Knowledge : General understanding of multiple operating systems such as Redhat Linux, Microsoft Windows, IBM AIX, Solaris, and VMware ESX, along with monitoring and supporting Wintel WEB-based services.

• Change Management : Over 3 years of working knowledge of Change Management processes, tools and procedures.

• Database Experience : Experience with Oracle, Oracle RAC, and MS SQL.

• Virtualization and Server Platforms : General understanding of VMware Virtual Center, blade-based server platforms, and their design and management tools.

• Data Storage Technologies : Experience with SAN and NAS data storage technologies, including EMC, Hitachi Data Systems, IBM XIV, and NetApp.

• Networking Knowledge : Good understanding of routing/switching concepts, IP assignment, LAN/WAN/VLAN configurations, CISCO/Juniper products, and network inventory management systems.

• Process Engineering : Experience with process engineering, ITIL/Six Sigma approaches, workflow management, and complex provisioning environments.

• Enterprise Technology Delivery : Proven success in delivering enterprise technologies to lines of business in large-scale enterprise environments.

• Global Team-Oriented Approach : Ability to work collaboratively with partner organizations in a large corporate environment. Understanding the impact of actions beyond the immediate location and respecting cultural differences to operate effectively within a distributed team.

• Customer-Service Focus : Commitment to ensuring that services not only meet current business needs but are also prepared for future requirements.

• ServiceNow : Utilized for Change Management and Incident Management processes.

• Jira, Confluence, & MS SharePoint : Understanding and working knowledge of these tools for project management, collaboration, and document management.
