Job Responsibilities:
- Leads the software engineering team responsible for post trade securities processing technology.
- Oversees application development using IntelliJ, VSCode, Microsoft Co-Pilot, and other modern development tools.
- Implements AI/ML solutions to enhance processing efficiency and accuracy.
- Utilizes KAFKA for real-time data streaming and processing.
- Develops and maintains applications using JAVA, ensuring high performance and scalability. Drive testing automation using tools like Cucumber and Fitness tests to ensure software quality.
- Designs and implement Rest APIs and GRPC for seamless integration and communication.
- Leads cloud initiatives, leveraging GKP and other cloud technologies for scalable solutions.
- Manages both NoSQL and SQL databases, ensuring data integrity and performance.
- Develops and execute a comprehensive data strategy aligned with business goals.
- Contributes to strategic programs while managing BAU legacy platforms.
- Leads and mentors teams across multiple locations, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience. In addition, 5+ years of experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise
- Proven experience in software engineering leadership roles, within the financial services industry.
- Hands on experience in application development using IntelliJ, VSCode, and Microsoft Co-Pilot.
- Experience with AI/ML technologies and their application in software development.
- Experience in KAFKA, JAVA, and testing automation tools like Cucumber.
- Experience with Rest APIs, GRPC, and cloud technologies such as GKP.
- Strong understanding of both NoSQL and SQL databases.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to strategic programs and manage legacy platforms.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with experience leading teams in multiple locations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of the investment banking industry and securities, particularly in fixed income and financing,
