Key job responsibilities
• Drive scaling current network designs to meet the demand of our customers
• Work with vendors and cross-functional teams for on-going design efforts and systems support.
• Work closely with our internal customers to help alleviate their problems and ensure our network continues to meet their demands
• Drive operational excellence projects to drive improvements in our network quality and reliability
• Work closely with our teams to assist in defining the tools we require
• Create simple processes that help operate and build our network
A day in the life
Engineers in the Enterprise Network Engineering (BERE) organization have a wide range
of responsibilities: we work with internal partners to develop and implement the next gen platforms
along with the tooling ecosystems to support with these platforms driving efficiency and scalability
through the automation of builds, configuration deployment, and the scaling of capacity. As ourdevelop solutions to the complex challenges that we face daily. We encourage durable solutions thatreliability perspective. Our team develops tooling that provides the required visibility and control ofto our customers during events.
• Work in a 24x7 team on call rotation, with ability to drive into workplace for critical events/needs.
• Manage customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure.
• Sit at the computer during scheduled work hours with appropriate breaks while maintaining a high level of alertness and attention to detail.
• Travel to data center/network sites and Amazon/customer offices as needed.

- 4+ years’ experience of hands-on technical engineering experience in large scale data center and/or WAN network environments.
- 4+ years’ experience and knowledge of at least one vendor’s Wireless hardware - Access Points, Wireless Controllers, or Wireless client bridge and IEEE .11 standards including .11n, .11ac and .11ax
- 1+ years of experience in automation via Bash/shell scripting and Perl/Python programming.
- Knowledge of wireless security - .1x, RADIUS, WPA2, EAP-TLS, PSK, general PKI concepts
- Knowledge of RF /Survey, RF Planning and Optimization.
- Experience with 3G/4G/WiMax a plus
- Aruba ACDX or CCIE Wireless a plus
