Develop gap and flush control documents from target creation to process delivery alignment
Develop Craftsmanship sensory targets that deliver a world-class user experience, beyond gap and flush conditions
Represent the Craftsmanship attribute at all relevant meetings, influence the team to take the Craftsmanship approach in all trade-off discussions
Drive closure of Craftsmanship issues through negotiation using quantitative data. Influence the design by developing constructive alternative solutions
Develop testing methods to ensure all targets are validated
Support the craftsmanship deliverables through to development/engineering sign-off of the vehicle
Support the quality functions to ensure targets are appropriately understood and measurable
What You’ll Bring
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or equivalent experience
Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals and a first-principals approach
Highly collaborative, detail-oriented personality and excellent communication skills
Understanding of the factors that create a perception of exceptional quality
Understanding of dimensional variation and statistical analysis
Prior experience in a similar role is valued, but the team has openings from entry-level to expert
Demonstration of knowledge in a variety of production and prototype manufacturing methods
Desire to become expert in Craftsmanship and build a career within the field
