Key Responsibilities:
- Threat Prevention & Intelligence
- Monitor external signals to mitigate vulnerabilities and predict threats.
- Drive prevention programs and analyze data to identify trends.
- Investigations & Forensics
- Lead complex investigations into sophisticated threat actors.
- Oversee eDiscovery, digital forensics, and major incident response.
- Collaboration & Communication
- Partner with cross-functional teams to address threat risks.
- Champion CTI matters and external partnerships to maximize business impact for F5.
- Program & Process Leadership
- Maintain and evolve the F5 Cybersecurity Incident Response Plan.
- Develop CTI workflows, tabletop exercises, and documentation.
- Manage team operations, workload, and alignment with F5’s mission.
- Tooling & Metrics
- Evaluate and maintain CTI platforms and tools.
- Manage and triage alerts, publish threat advisories, and report on program effectiveness.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 8+ years in security engineering or equivalent experience.
- The ability to work out of the F5 Seattle Headquarters.
- Proven leadership of technical teams and high-integrity handling of sensitive data.
- Deep experience with threat intelligence, APT tracking, and adversary TTPs.
- Expertise in malware analysis, host/network forensics, and incident response.
- Support of Legal, HR, and executive management with investigatory work product.
- Strong communication and data presentation skills.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and shifting priorities with agility.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with customer-facing security product development.
- Familiarity with both strategic and tactical threat intelligence workflows.
- Proficiency in T-SQL, NoSQL, and large-scale data correlation.
- Reverse engineering, binary analysis, and Windows/Linux/MacOS internals.
- Experience translating analyst workflows into scalable analytics.
Security Screening Requirement:
This role requires successful completion of F5, customer, and/or government security screening. Background investigations may include a 10-year review of actions, relationships, and experiences.

The annual base pay for this position is: $183,200.00 - $274,800.00
