Own system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance for our serviceMentor other engineers, setting technical direction and best practicesFace off with Product Managers, stakeholders, and customers directly to ensure technical designs and product decisions meet their functional requirements.Partner with other services across AWS to expand adoption of our service.Be an advocate of industry best-practices to produce reliable, fault-torrent and dependable codeCode and test complex system modules; develop and leverage frameworks to be effective and efficientParticipate in architecture, design and code reviews to maintain our high development standardsBe a pioneer in agentic revolution as our service reimagines how it will be used in the future.About the team
AWS Glue is a fully managed service offering next-generation data management and transformation solution. AWS Glue simplifies and automates the difficult and time consuming data discovery, conversion, mapping, and job scheduling tasks at massive scale. The Glue ML team focuses on the intersection data management features on this platform that require ML/AI capabilities.About AWS

- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
