As a member of the Lightsail team, your responsibilities would include:· Designing and developing cutting edge highly reliable and salable distributed system globally
· Delivering quality features on-time and on-budget and execution against project plans and delivery commitments
· Working with team members to manage the day-to-day development activities, participate in designs, design review, code review, and implementation
· Engaging and working with customers and dependencies to ensure the quality delivery
· Mentoring other engineers
· Maintaining current technical knowledge to support rapidly changing technology, always on a look out for new technologies and work with the team in bringing in new technologies
This position involves on-call responsibilities, typically for one week every 2.5 months. We don’t like getting paged in the middle of the night or on the weekend, so we work to ensure that our systems are fault tolerant. When we do get paged, we work together to resolve the
root cause so that we don’t get paged for the same issue twice.
*This position requires periodic on-call responsibilities.

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
