Key Responsibilities:
• Installation & Commissioning:
o Lead and oversee the installation, commissioning, and testing of Low Voltage and Medium Voltage (up to 33KV GIS) switchgear systems, including protection relay systems.
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
o Perform proactive and corrective maintenance, diagnostic testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems, focusing on LV and MV switchgear and protection relays.
• Customer Support:
• Field Service Reporting:
o Prepare detailed service reports, documenting findings, actions taken, and recommendations for improvement.
• Technical Expertise:
o Provide expert advice on the selection, configuration, and maintenance of protection relays, switchgear, and associated equipment.
• Training & Development:
o Safety & Compliance:
Key Requirements:
• Technical Expertise:
o 5+ years of experience with installation, commissioning, and maintenance of switchgear and protection relay systems.
o Strong knowledge of LV and MV switchgear, protection relays and related electrical systems.
• Skills:
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong customer communication skills, both technical and non-technical.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in the use of testing and diagnostic equipment.
• Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Automation, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications related to electrical safety, protection systems, and switchgear (e.g., electrical license, protection relay certifications) are preferred.
- Ability to travel to customer site across Malaysia or overseas as required.
- Proficiency in English (both written and verbal) is required. Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia is a plus.
