Manager, Project Management (International Tech Expansion)

As a Manager of Project Management at Capital One, you will drive strategy and execute on high priority projects for the company. General Responsibilities:

• Leading moderate to large complex projects and programs by providing strategic direction to projects, peers, and direct reports

• Drive the execution of high-priority projects within our Technology division

• Demonstrate strong strategic command and an engaging leadership presence

• Exhibit expertise inrelationship-buildingacross our extended tech and non-tech organization

• Manage complex workstreams with energy and excitement

• Design, develop, and manage project plans in complex, dynamic environments, adapting to changing requirements

• Lead and execute on a high priority project for our Technology division

• Designing, developing, and managing project plans in a complex dynamic environment, revising needs to meet changing requirements

• Ensuring projects are documented appropriately to mitigate risk and to be delivered on time

• Leveraging problem solving and influencing skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent

• Partnering cross-functionally with project customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project delivery

• Building relationships and collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments

• Exhibit outstanding influencing skills to effectively drive project / program efforts

• Demonstrate a proven track record of excellent project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage work in a dynamic complex environment.

• Display a passion for coaching and developing a team of associates through their leadership style

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree

• At least 6 years of Project Management experience

• At least 2 years of experience implementing enterprise wide systems and processes

• At least 2 years of experience communicating and collaborating with global partner groups

• At least 2 years of experience working on projects partnering with Senior Leadership

• At least 2 years of experience with Google Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters / MBA degree

• 7+ years of Project Management experience

• 2+ years of People Management experience

• 2+ years of Jira experience

• PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification

• Work experience achieving results with complex projects through collaboration with cross functional teams

McLean, VA: $146,100 - $166,700 for Manager, Project Management Richmond, VA: $132,800 - $151,600 for Manager, Project ManagementThis role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
