WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• M.Sc. or M.S. in Biomechanics, Engineering, Kinesiology, Human Factors, or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.
• Experience with traditional and prototype tools used to collect biomechanical data and understanding of how they work (e.g. motion capture, force plates, pressure insoles, EMG, etc.)
• Hands-on experience working with human test subjects and/or athletes, and excitement about conducting experimental research
• Strong communication skills and ability to build trust across audiences
• An innovator’s mindset: comfort with ambiguity, bias toward action, and resilience in the face of challenges
• Experience writing programs in Python and/or MATLAB to analyze biomechanical data is preferred
• Professional experience as a biomechanics researcher is a plus

You will report to a Research Manager in the NSRL and work under the direction of Principal and Lead researchers on the Footwear Team, with an emphasis on running research. You will serve as a full-time contributor to the product creation process, interacting with research and product development teams to support innovation concepts.
