Job Description

In meeting these objectives, the BLQA Manager will be responsible for directly supervising the performance of BLQA testing team members to work against program criteria. More specifically, the Lead will:

  • Ensure QA Programs/Procedures are executed according to the corporate Business Line Quality Assurance Policy
  • Lead or perform process inquiries, walkthroughs and procedure review to support the development/design of QA test work papers, where necessary
  • Lead analysis of transaction handling or control performance against defined policies, guidelines or laws
  • Oversee QA tests, analyze evidence of transaction handling or control performance against defined policies, guidelines or laws
  • Own and approve the accuracy of analyst(s) test work papers, verify and measure the quality of staff conclusions
  • Monitor key risk indicators and emerging risks to identify potential edits or updates for existing test scripts/procedures
  • Lead test result discussions with business line management and risk partners related to identified exceptions/issues, criteria used to define expected results, root cause assessment, exposure assessment, and actions needed/recommended
  • Produce reporting for management review and distribution
  • Utilize effective verbal communication of testing results to the BLQA Manager and for responding to and/or escalating significant risks as appropriate
  • Other deliverables as assigned by management

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Typically seven to ten years of applicable experience

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously

  • Advanced process facilitation, project management, and analytical skills
  • Advanced presentation, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages, including Microsoft Office applications and word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations.
