This group is entrusted with developing core natural language processing, generative AI, deep learning, automated reasoning, and machine learning algorithms for AWS. You will invent, implement, and deploy state-of-the-art machine learning and automated reasoning algorithms and systems. You will build prototypes and explore conceptually new solutions. You will deliver innovative and impactful features into production. You will interact closely with our customers and with the academic community. You will be at the heart of a growing and exciting focus area for AWS and work with other acclaimed engineers and world famous scientists.

- 5+ years of building machine learning models for business application experience
- PhD, or Master's degree and 6+ years of applied research experience
- Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
- Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning

- Experience with modeling tools such as R, scikit-learn, Spark MLLib, MxNet, Tensorflow, numpy, scipy etc.
- Experience with large scale distributed systems such as Hadoop, Spark etc.
- Experience in foundation model training and fine-tuning, in-context learning, and AI agent
