As a Senior Consultant, in FSO Tax team, you will help clients in order to reduce inefficiencies, to mitigate risk and to improve opportunities within their tax functions. Be part of a global team that helps build sustainable tax strategies; assesses, improves and monitors tax functions’ processes, controls and risk management; and supports clients in managing effective relationships with tax authorities.
Your key responsibilities
- Providing a well-integrated broad array of tax services for multiple clients, in financial services market (Banking, Insurance, Capital Markets, Asset Management), with a high level of efficiency and quality;
- Assisting in the creation, implementation and maintenance of comprehensive tax policies and procedures;
- Providing tax reporting, analysis and validations;
- Defining, developing and implementing effective tax and reporting solutions and processes in accordance to local and global requirements;
- Assisting in establishing, monitoring, evaluating and interpreting tax data;
- Supporting the implementation of key regulatory requirements and guidelines;
- Identifying risks and/or improvement opportunities;
- Supporting the team management;
- Establishing professional and trust relationships with clients and staff, contributing to a flexible, stable, and team-oriented working culture;
- Acting as mentor and coach to the junior members of the team and leading by example;
- Understand EY and its service lines and actively assess/present ways to serve clients.

To qualify for the role, you must have
- Academic education in Tax, Economics or similar fields of study;
- At least 4 years of professional experience in tax role, mainly in Financial Services;
- Good knowledge about local and global tax requirements;
- Ability to work in multicultural projects and environments;
- Fluent written and verbal communication skills in both Portuguese and English.
