Program Manager, Techto lead the end-to-end delivery of high-precision LiDAR annotation programs that power next-generation autonomous systems. This role is both strategic and hands-on, requiring you to bridge the gap between complex technical requirements, scalable workflow execution, and high-quality delivery in safety-critical environments.
You will work at the intersection of, leading multi-disciplinary initiatives that combine
LiDAR, sensor fusion, and point cloud annotation workflowsinto robust production pipelines. Your work will directly impact how autonomous vehicle perception systems are trained, tested, and validated.
In this role, you will:
- Own the full lifecycle of LiDAR annotation programs—from scoping and requirements gathering through deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with engineering teams to design custom workflows, data formats, and integrations that meet the unique needs of AV perception models.
- Drive automation and experimentation initiatives that reduce cycle time, improve annotation accuracy, and enhance scalability without compromising safety or compliance.
- Collaborate directly with clients to translate technical vision into operationally viable solutions , ensuring alignment on guidelines, dataset structures, and delivery timelines.
- Act as a technical liaison and problem-solver , unblocking teams, aligning cross-functional stakeholders, and mitigating risks before they impact delivery.
What You Will Do- Lead technical program design for LiDAR annotation workflows, including 3D object detection, segmentation, and tracking, with sensor-fusion integration.
- Architect and customize workflows, input formats (CSV/JSON), tooling, data pipelines, and API integrations to enable efficient and scalable deployment.
- Pilot and implement automated tooling enhancements such as interpolation, point-cloud fusion, auto-grounding, and custom QA checks, driving experimentation and adoption.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Delivery, Product, and Engineering teams to translate client requirements into actionable specifications and ensure continuous improvement.
- Own proofs-of-concept for new modalities (e.g., Bird’s Eye View annotation), identifying tradeoffs and aligning design choices with stakeholders.
- Engage directly with clients to understand labeling guidelines, dataset formats (point clouds + camera sync), annotation quality targets, and delivery expectations.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in program management, solution architecture, or a similar role within LiDAR, sensor-fusion, or autonomous vehicle data programs
- Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting
- Hands-on experience with 3D annotation workflows
- Direct experience in LiDAR-focused data annotation or perception programs, with deep involvement in autonomous vehicle labeling workflows
- Experience with process management and improvement methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Expertise in LiDAR and sensor-fusion formats, 3D annotation standards, and delivering ≥98% accuracy in safety-critical use cases
Exposure to interpolation logic, pre-labeling from perception models, custom QA rule creation, and tools enabling LLM or model-assisted labeling
First-hand experience integrating and customizing annotation tools such as Deepen, uLabel, Scale, or Labelbox
Experience scripting for data conversion, pre-annotation, QA pipelines, or ML validations
- Familiarity with automation techniques including interpolation, auto-grounding, and rule-based QA, and comfort working with Engineering/Product teams to build scalable solutions
- Strong client-facing skills with the ability to translate complex technical needs into clear delivery roadmaps
Experience with advanced 3D annotation workflows, including:
- 3D object detection
- Instance segmentation
- Multi-object tracking (MOT)
- Bird’s Eye View (BEV) and sensor fusion-based labeling
Background in pre-sales or solution architecture roles within AV or ML data-labeling contexts
Experience deploying annotation QA protocols, including gold sets, rule-based validation, and inter-annotator agreement
- Proven ability to translate technical requirements into scalable solutions and coordinate across Product, Engineering, Sales, and Delivery teams
