In this role, you will develop our next-generation coordinated capacity planning platform. This will require creating sophisticated models, which transform complex supply chain challenges into elegant mathematical solutions. You will design and implement novel algorithms that optimize warehouse placement, timing, and capacity, all while leveraging advanced machine learning techniques, AI and large-scale optimization modeling.A day in the life
As a Senior Research Scientist, you will work at the intersection of operations research, machine learning, AI and supply chain optimization. A typical day might include:- Developing and analyzing new mathematical models for supply chain optimization- Designing experiments to validate theoretical approaches
- Writing research papers and technical documentation

- 3+ years of investigating the feasibility of applying scientific principles and concepts to business problems and products experience
- PhD, or Master's degree and 5+ years of quantitative field research experience
- Experience with big data technologies such as AWS, Hadoop, Spark, Pig, Hive etc.
- Experience communicating qualitative research methods and findings to non-qualitative researchers

- Experience converting research studies into tangible real-world changes
- Experience with discrete and continuous optimization methodologies and algorithms
