- Design camera module structures in CAD. - Design injection molded, sheet metal, PCB, and other component parts.- Author detailed 2D manufacturing and inspection drawings. - Perform rigorous tolerance analysis of module designs and component parts. - Interface with component part and camera manufacturing partners on design manufacturability and resolution of mechanical issues. - Author clear documentation on mechanical inspection and test requirements. - Direct FEA engineers on evaluation of camera designs.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Optical Science, Physics, or related field
- Master's or PhD degree and 3 years of relevant industry experience
- Proficient in CAD 3D modeling and 2D drafting, NX a plus.
- Expertise in plastic injection molding, sheet metal design, and material surface treatment.
- Strong foundation in mechanical design principles, material knowledge and FEA.
- Proficient in conducting tolerance analysis for highly complex and precision mechanical structures.
- Proven track record in transitioning designs into mass production, ensuring rigorous quality control and reliability standards.
