In this role, you will identify and define user/customer requirements, focusing on developing user interfaces (UI) across various platforms such as mobile, web, and tablets. You will be responsible for creating software components and services that interact seamlessly with upstream and downstream components, ensuring that business requirements are met through effective coding and programming.

Your key responsibilities

As a Senior Application Designer and Developer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering innovative solutions. Your time will be spent on various responsibilities, including:

  • Collaborating with clients to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring that the final product meets their needs.
  • Designing and developing user interfaces that are not only functional but also enhance user experience.
  • Writing clean, maintainable code and creating specifications that support business objectives.
  • Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and possess strong business acumen.
  • Consistently deliver quality client services. Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.
  • Demonstrate an ability to collaborate with, manage, and help develop our offshore resources as well as our on-shore staff level resources and peer level resources in other SuccessFactors modules.
  • Establish relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels.

In a typical engagement, you will work with the key stakeholders to understand their needs and advise on SAP SuccessFactors system capabilities. The role involves initiating requirement gathering, considering impacts across modules, conducting tests, and completing required documentation. You will also be called to design functional solutions after conducting thorough analyses. Your role will involve acting as a liaison between stakeholders and the technical team, translating needs into effective business solutions. You will also be responsible for completing configurations and/or integrations with both SAP and non-SAP systems.The following attributes will make a significant impact:

To qualify for the role you must have

  • A bachelor's degree (4-year degree).
  • Typically, no less than 2-4 years of relevant experience.
  • Prior consulting industry experience or deep functional experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working with SAP SuccessFactors system.
  • SAP SuccessFactors certification in Employee Central Core.
  • Experience with at least two full cycle implementations of Employee Central.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with proficiency in presentation, client service and technical writing.
  • The ability to research client inquiries and emerging issues, including regulations, industry practices, and new technologies.
  • The capability to provide industry insights and best practices.
  • The ability to identify and understand cross-functional impacts within SuccessFactors.
  • Proficiency in analyzing client processes and mapping them to necessary configurations and functionality.
  • Knowledge of SuccessFactors reporting and the ability to develop reports to support the compensation process.
  • A flexibility and willingness to travel to meet client needs; travel is estimated at 40-60%.

Ideally, you'll also have

  • Prior consulting industry experience.
  • SuccessFactors Employee Central experience, including:
    • Proficiency in EC configuration, managing Foundation and MDF Objects, data models (both standard and country-specific), Position Management, Employment Structures, and EC-specific workflows, with a solid understanding of effective dating, UI rules, security, and global requirements.
    • Skills in Business Rules, Workflows, and Security Management, with the ability to write and troubleshoot complex business rules, design dynamic multi-step workflows, and implement Role-Based Permissions (RBP) for custom MDF objects and field-level security.
    • Experience in Data Handling, Reporting, and Testing, including data migration, reporting using Ad-Hoc and Canvas tools, and developing comprehensive test plans to validate EC functionality throughout project lifecycles.
    • Leadership experience in conducting discovery and fit-gap sessions, translating business needs into scalable EC solutions, and collaborating across modules and integrations while leveraging SAP best practices.
    • A strong understanding of end-to-end implementation phases, including cutover planning, knowledge transfer, hyper-care, and ongoing optimization, utilizing tools like Admin Alerts and Health Check for continual improvement.

  • We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $102,500 to $187,900. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $122,900 to $213,400. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
