The Director, Human-AI Collaboration & Workforce Transformation will lead the strategic integration of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies to fundamentally redefine jobs and organizational structures at Salesforce. This role requires a unique blend of deep research expertise, a strong understanding of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) principles, and a pragmatic, business-oriented approach to large-scale organizational transformation. You will oversee the design and implementation of new work models, focusing on enhancing human capabilities, driving efficiency, and ensuring a positive, productive employee experience in an increasingly AI-augmented workplace.Responsibilities

  • Pioneer Research-Driven Work Models: Lead and conduct research to understand how AI and other technologies can best augment human work, developing evidence-based frameworks for job design and organizational structure.

  • Integrate HCI and AI Principles: Apply principles from Human-Computer Interaction and cognitive science to design seamless and effective human-AI collaboration workflows.

  • Collaborate with Senior Leadership: Partner with senior leaders to architect the future of work at Salesforce, translating business strategy into actionable workforce transformation initiatives.

  • Drive Enterprise-Wide Transformation: Champion a culture of continuous learning and adaptation, leading the organization through significant shifts in how work is defined, performed, and managed.

  • Develop Strategic Frameworks: Create scalable and robust frameworks for job redesign and augmentation that support business growth and employee development.

  • Influence and Educate Stakeholders: Serve as a subject matter expert, effectively communicating complex research findings and strategic recommendations to diverse audiences, including technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Doctorate (Ph.D.) in a relevant field such as Organizational Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction,Industrial-OrganizationalPsychology, or a related discipline with a focus on technology and the future of work.

  • 10+ years of experience in a role focused on organizational design, workforce strategy, or research, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity driving large-scale change within a corporate environment.

  • Proven research experience , including a strong publication record or a history of applying quantitative and qualitative research methods to solve complex business problems.

  • Deep understanding of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) principles and their application in designing effective human-machine systems.

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect research and strategic insights to tangible business outcomes and key performance indicators.

  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with a track record of influencing senior leadership and inspiring cross-functional teams.

  • Demonstrated expertise in organizational transformation and the integration of emerging technologies, particularly AI, into work processes.

Posting Statement

to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance and the Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring, Salesforce will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records. For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $193,800 to $327,600. For Illinois based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $177,600 to $300,200.
