Minimum qualifications:
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL), querying databases or statistical analysis, or a PhD degree
2 years of experience as an Energy Analyst or equivalent, working with energy system data.
Experience with optimization software (e.g., cvx, Gurobi), statistical software (e.g., R, Python), and database languages (e.g., SQL).
Preferred qualifications:
PhD in Electrical Engineering, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
4 years of work experience (e.g., Energy Analyst, Trader, System Operator), applying advanced analytics to energy systems, planning, control, and learning problems (university, national labs, electric utility companies).
Experience designing performance-based energy systems optimization and control algorithms.
Experience designing and building statistical forecasting models and machine learning models.
Excellent problem-framing, problem-solving, project management, customer service, and team collaboration skills.
