Here's What You'll be Responsible For:
• Develop and maintain Samsung’s Power Distribution System Protection and Modeling philosophy.
• Applies system protection engineering practices and principles in one or more of the following areas: distribution lines and buses, transformer, capacitor banks, reactor banks, grounding transformers, generators, motors, and communication assisted protection schemes.
• Performs complex power system analyses, such as protective coordination, symmetrical (and occasionally asymmetrical) analysis, fault and arc-flash studies, load flows, service reliability, load forecasts, power quality, voltage stability, system expansion (relay settings development and coordination) studies.
• Manages the master ETAP and/or SKM model and provides revision control of all changes. Ensures the model stays up to date and that all custom arc-flash labeling in the field is current.
• Develops and prepares engineering designs, drawings, circuit maps, control diagrams, charts, databases, plans, and other documents for transmission and distribution systems, generation and substation facilities.
• Formulates, prepares, and implements operating and safety procedures and guidelines, and operating manuals for all Samsung Electrical Systems within the facility.
