Applied Materials’ Advanced Project Development Department is searching for a co-op to join our team for Spring 2026! Our work involves developing and optimizing process for the next -generation of semiconductor product that is in use by leading companies across the world. The position will entail the following:
Assist with laboratory plating demonstrations, to include: tool preparation, processing wafers, measuring wafers, documentation.
Lead small development projects involving wafer metrology
Support process engineering through procurement, shipping, and inventory functions
Start date: Beginning of December 2025
Duration: 6 - 9 months
Location: On-site, Gloucester, MA
Requirements
Student must be pursuing a Doctorate (or Master's) degree program in Materials Science & Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field
Student must be in good academic standing at their university, with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale
Experience in semiconductor processing or manufacturing preferred
Experience in programming (C/C++, Matlab, Python) preferred
