The United States and Washington, DC, are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer who can help optimize the machining process for products and ensure quality standards are reached. Expoint is a perfect platform for finding this job opportunity as it is specifically for the tech industry.
As the Manufacturing Engineer, your primary focus will be on process improvement. You will evaluate the production lines and equipment to ensure they are reliable and efficient. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing guidelines needed to incorporate changes in the machining process. To do this, you will be expected to assess new tools and materials for stability, manufacturability, and compatibility.
You will also work with various departments to optimize labor and material resources and analyze the effectiveness of changes to the manufacturing process. Additionally, you will collaborate with the engineering team to improve the quality of the production processes and ensure they comply with customer specifications and safety requirements.
The ideal candidate should have a degree in Industrial Engineering or a similar field, as well as a good working knowledge of 3D modeling software, FEM (Finite Element Analysis), and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance). Experience working in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
You should have excellent problem-solving and communications skills and the ability to work in a team environment. To be successful in this role, you should also have strong organizational and analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
